Chinese pop music plays gently in the background, a gesture that I always notice and appreciate so much more than being forced to dine under the caterwauling din of Celine Dion or something. Both recent visits were impressive enough that I might even agree with whoever voted the place tops in that mysterious poll they advertise out front. The Orange Chicken tasted fantastic but unfortunately, it arrived nearly cold. The Almond Chicken fared better and was among the best I ever had, all fluffy white chicken chunks, a light, not overly greasy batter and a rich gravy topped with powdery ground almonds. The crispy Chow Mein was flavorful and freshly made with dense pork sausage chunks. The hot mustard for my BBQ pork made me cry and I liked it. The fried rice is served plain, which is preferred to the method of adding nightmarish frozen mixed veggies. Best of all, the egg rolls were nice and light, free from the overkill of grease they used to drown them in here. getoutnorthidaho.blogspo…

The service was nice, but only if you are not here for some good food. The decor has not be updated for at least 20 years. I ordered beef noodle soup, and it was probably the worst Chinese dish I have ever had as a Chinese myself. It was definitely not a bowl of soup, rather some stir fried beef with mixed veggies soaked in heavy and extremely salty sauce. The level of saltiness is beyond describable. Do not come here if you are looking for good food.

We got food to-go and the man who helped us was very nice and quite funny. The hot and sour soup was delicious an I would order it again with no hesitation. The man and I both ordered a dinner special and it was ready to-go after 10-15 minutes. We arrived at our hotel only to be terribly disappointed in the quality of food. Bland, gross, nothing like it should be, it all seemed off (aside from the soup) the fried rice an chow mein were terrible and the main courses were filled with grease. I usually eat every last bite of my Chinese food and I was unable to eat half of my order before putting in the fridge. I had leftovers the next day and I was better than when freshly cooked. For the most part I will avoid this restaurant, unfortunately.

This used to be one of our favorites, to go for quick, greasy Chinese/American food in CDA.... We quit going there, gave it three try's this year and last year; you cannot have any more of my money! The food has changed flavor, portion size, and price. It is just really not good anymore......It is not one star bad though.

Nothing worth mentioning, except rice was undercooked, and when I complained - they said that's how they make it. Well - didn't work well with my tummy.

Service was good and the place is clean and ok, but was not a big fan of the food. My son and I both had one of the combination plates which consisted of decent sized portions but my memory of the meal is breaded meat swimming in sauce. The chow mein was pretty much just ok and nothing that memorable. Over all the food was ok, but there are a few better choices in the area, even though Coeur d Alene is on the weak side for good Chinese food.

As Chinese food goes in the NW this one was ok. Atmosphere was nice, service was ok, and food was above average for area. The KimChee and Egg Rolls were pretty good too.
